Join K2W, Office of Environment and Heritage, Local Land Services and local Landcare groups to celebrate World Wetlands Day!
On the day you will have the opportunity to:
- Hear from the experts in the field (plants, biodiversity and other values, climate change implications, geomorphology)
- Find out what makes our local upland swamps so special
- Learn why wetlands are important and what can be done to protect them
- Join the kids on a voyage of swampy discovery
- Take part in a volunteer activity to enhance the quality of a local swamp.
Where: Meet at the Neville Pub to carpool in 4WDs.
What to bring:
Bring your hat, sunscreen, solid shoes and long pants so you can take a tour through the wetlands.
Lunch and afternoon tea provided. RSVP essential.
