World Wetlands Day – Upland Swamps of the Neville Region

Canoeing in K2W

Join K2W, Office of Environment and Heritage, Local Land Services and local Landcare groups to celebrate World Wetlands Day!

On the day you will have the opportunity to:

  • Hear from the experts in the field (plants, biodiversity and other values, climate change implications, geomorphology)
  • Find out what makes our local upland swamps so special
  • Learn why wetlands are important and what can be done to protect them
  • Join the kids on a voyage of swampy discovery
  • Take part in a volunteer activity to enhance the quality of a local swamp.

Where: Meet at the Neville Pub to carpool in 4WDs.

What to bring:
Bring your hat, sunscreen, solid shoes and long pants so you can take a tour through the wetlands.

Lunch and afternoon tea provided. RSVP essential.
