Community Group Grants

Our Community Group Grants provide funding to local community groups to protect and restore natural connections in the K2W Link.

Funding to restore natural connections

We work with local community groups (including groups of individual landholders) to protect and restore natural connections in priority areas of the K2W Link. There are a suite of options for you to get involved.

Some examples of projects eligible for grants:

  • Habitat restoration – Support for community groups wanting to enhance habitat and improve connectivity for gliders and migratory species across the K2W Link.
  • Community workshops to encourage involvement in conservation projects – run workshops and other activities that encourage wider uptake and interest in conservation agreements.
  • Monitor habitat and connectivity outcomes – undertake training and/or host local volunteer efforts to record and track key connectivity and habitat condition measures across their district.
  • Cultural Connections – promote understanding and awareness of Aboriginal cultural philosophy, knowledge and land management practices through events, activities and/or products.

Getting Involved

Step 1 – Send an email to hello@k2w.org.au with the project outline.

Step 2 – All proposals must be valued and will be assessed and ranked against the outcomes of K2W Link.

Step 3 – Successful applicants will be contacted to discuss the proposal in more detail and help develop a plan for the project.
